Youth employment is an issue high on the agenda in all Member States. Policy makers in employment and related policy areas such as education and social inclusion are concerned by problems such as high youth unemployment and unfavourable labour market conditions for young people. Problems are quite similar in many Member States; however there are also large differences among individual countries' situations. [extract]
