Managing transitions: lifelong guidance in the European area

This conference, which draws together 300 European experts, is part of the Education and Training 2010 programme, which gives lifelong guidance a key role in the strategies of education and training.

It will rely on the Resolution Pertaining to Guidance, adopted in 2004 by the Council and representatives of the Member States.

The goal of the conference is to measure progress made in the implementation of the 2004 Resolution and identify the possible convergences to improve guidance of youth within the European educational systems.

It has been foreseen that once the conference work is completed, an action plan will be proposed in the form of a Resolution, at the Council for Education-Youth-culture, on 20 and 21 November 2008.
