Impact of Comenius School Partnerships on participating schools

The major purpose of the study was to provide empirically valid and reliable insights into the impacts of Comenius school partnerships on participating pupils, teachers and schools. The results of the study are based, above all, upon a survey among persons responsible for Comenius projects (in all eligible countries, i.e. the 27 EU Member States plus Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Turkey) whose school was involved in a school partnership during 2000 and 2006.

In addition, existing evaluations of and impact studies of Comenius 1 school partnerships were analysed. The survey was conducted exclusively by electronic, web-enhanced and web-based methods, i.e. by the use of e-mail and internet technology.
