A validation workshop of the thematic country review on apprenticeship in Italy took place in Rome on 14 December 2015.
Discussions revolved around three main points:
- validating the SWOT analysis developed by Cedefop experts on apprenticeships in Italy;
- identifying priority areas for investigation taking into account Cedefop’s analytical framework;
- planning of next steps, activities and role of the Steering Committee.
The meeting was also the occasion for all members to sign the formal mandate of the committee including composition and commitments.
Cedefop experts, Antonio Ranieri, Ramona David and Lisa Rustico participated to the meeting.
*** Cedefop conducts thematic country reviews on apprenticeships (TCR) in selected volunteer countries and looks at national developments on apprenticeships, while considering contextual factors. The project started in 2014 as a pilot for two countries who had expressed interest, Malta and Lithuania, and has been extended to other interested countries (for 2015-16 it is Italy, Greece and Slovenia). The Italian review was launched at an event hosted by the Ministry of Employment in Rome on 14 October.
