    CroCooS – Prevent dropout! Early Warning System for preventing and reducing dropout from school

    CroCooS – Prevent dropout! project identified elements of a comprehensive institutional early warning system (EWS) and tested its applicability in national contexts. The final product of the project is the CroCooS Knowledge Centre, which is a complex system linking closely the Resource Pool (theoretical background in easy-to-understand language), the Guidelines (how to build an institutional EWS) and the EWS-Toolkit (several tools can be used in the school to prevent dropout).

    Contact Points for people who gained professional qualifications abroad (AST)

    Counselling on recognition and further educational topics for migrants, people entitled to asylum status and to subsidiary protection. Multilingual consultations are offered in the following languages: German, Bosnian/Serbian/Croatian, Turkish, English, Polish, Russian, Ukrainian, French, Romanian, Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese, Farsi, Arabic, Dioula, and Bobo. Through lobbying and networking with decision-makers and opinion leaders AST gathers information, analyses and responds to policy initiatives and social developments with the aim to represent the interests of migrants.

    Apprenticeship coaching in Austria aims to avoid drop outs due to misunderstanding or conflict between apprentices and in company trainers. The latter may also receive coaching or counselling as required, in order to ensure the success of the mediation.

    Innovative Pole - Pôle Innovant Lycéen (PIL)

    The PIL aims at offering VET opportunities and general courses to early leavers between 16 and 21 years of age, combined with thorough individualised support. The PIL is a ‘one year only’ school – i.e. students do not obtain a qualification during the year. It doesn’t aim to qualify students, it aims to give early leavers the desire to learn again.
