The main focus of this conference, which is organised by Cedefop, is to develop an understanding of the range of provision of career guidance for people in employment and identify in what way the various stakeholders could broaden access to guidance for the employed. The conference will examine the role of public policies; the opportunities offered by web-based guidance services; the role of the social partners; and delivering career guidance to older workers.
In 2006, Cedefop commissioned a study on guidance provision in the workplace, the outcomes of which provide the background for this conference The examples of good practices identified in the study, together with other case studies proposed by participants and keynote speakers, will provide the ground for discussion at the workshops.
