A conference on 15-16 October in Thessaloniki Cedefop will announce the results of its study, Sharing the costs of vocational education and training: an analysis of schemes in the newer EU Members States.
The main focus of this conference, which is organised by Cedefop, is to develop an understanding of the range of provision of career guidance for people in employment and identify in what way the various stakeholders could broaden access to guidance for the employed. The conference will examine the role of public policies; the opportunities offered by web-based guidance services; the role of the social partners; and delivering career guidance to older workers.
Enhanced cross-sectoral and multi-professional network-based cooperation, increased dialogue and strategic partnerships among all key players and stakeholders are considered remedies for making lifelong guidance become a reality in the Member States.
