The 1st online Educational Conference focuses on educational issues, as they emerged in the COVID-19 area.

The objective of the conference is to review the views, perceptions, concerns and practices of the educational community regarding this new environment of educational practice that emerged following the closing down of all the educational institutions and how this has affected:

  • teachers;
  • the teaching and learning process;
  • the interactions between all participants and stakeholders;
  • organisation and educational activities in schools;
  • infrastructures and equipment;
  • training of teachers and trainers.

Irene Psifidou, Cedefop expert, presented the findings of Cedefop's report "Digital gap during COVID-19 for VET learners at risk in Europe". Based on preliminary information collected from the Ambassadors for tackling early leaving from VET coming from seven countries, five EU member states: Germany, Greece, Portugal, Romania and Spain, as well as Turkey and the United Kingdom, the report discusses examples of initiatives ensuring equal access to digital learning for all learners including those at risk and for supporting VET teachers and trainers to respond to this challenge.

More information on the Conference programme, the book of abstracts and the video and ppt presentations can be found below.
