The Hungarian economy and labour market performed well in recent years, with declining unemployment and strong job growth. Decent growth is expected in forthcoming years, too, although working age population is expected to shrink a bit over the period to 2030.
Employment growth is expected to be driven by service sectors, such as professional services, education and public sector. Fastest growing occupations will be office associate professionals, teaching professionals and researchers & engineers. Almost two thirds of total job openings (including replacements for vacated jobs) till 2030 will be for high-level qualifications; one of the highest increases from all new EU Member States.
