It uses PISA data to explore gender differences in the international context and looks at a range of other issues, including educational personnel and the impact of initial educational attainment on lifelong learning.

S S provides a very thorough evaluation of gender and education in Ireland. Boys are significantly more likely than girls to leave school early and to demonstrate low levels of attainment in education.

The report is available, chapter by chapter, on the Department of Education and Science website below.
