The Youth in Action programme will primarily aim to promote experiences of European citizenship by young people by offering them, ways and means to make it more concrete through various forms of active engagement, at European level as well as at national and local levels.
The amended proposal integrates all the modifications adopted by the Council on its political agreement of 15 November 2005. Furthermore, the Commissions proposal integrates a new financial allocation in line with the financial perspectives and as a result of this has integrated a new age bracket in the programme.
