The active role of users in guidance is stressed in many recent EU documents and initiatives. The main aim of the conference is to highlight the role of the user in guidance, set the context for the discussion about user involvement and examine products and national examples that have proven to fit the needs of the users.
The aim is to put the user in a central position thus changing the traditional perspective from that of the deliverer to that of the user. EU funded and national guidance projects will be mapped in terms of making the usersvoice heard and a collection of good practice will be produced.
The conference will showcase some of these successes of practices and products by setting up a Marketplace of products and Euroguidance Network Guidance Corner. The conference will host such renowned guidance experts as Dr. Peter Plant from Denmark and Dr. Raimo Vouorinen from Finland.
