On Tuesday 13 October 2020, Cedefop together with the European Foundation for the Improvement of Living and Working Conditions (Eurofound), will launch the European Company Survey 2019 (ECS) overview report at a joint virtual event.
The European Company Survey 2019 overview report will provide comparative data on workplace strategies and practices for human resource management, employee participation and social dialogue, digitalisation and skills use in European establishments across 27 Member States and the United Kingdom. The fourth iteration of the survey has been carried out in collaboration with Eurofound, strengthening the aspects related to skills strategies, utilisation and learning. The overview report will describe patterns in workplace practices and relate them to managerial strategies and outcomes for businesses and their employees.
The launch event will bring together up to 100 policy makers, social partners, representatives from business, works councils, human resource practitioners, think tanks, professional bodies, as well as academia from both national and EU level. The aim is to discuss and debate the survey’s new findings, helping to identify ways to create a work environment that facilitates and motivates employees to ensure their skills and knowledge are used to the full.
