On 16-17 November, Cedefop is holding a knowledge sharing seminar at its premises in Thessaloniki in collaboration with the ETF (European Training Foundation).
The aim of the seminar is to increase awareness among Cedefops staff of trends in vocational training and the labour market in Bulgaria and Rumania, the two countries which will be joining the EU in January 2007.

Responsibility for supporting vocational training in the new Member States will be transferred to Cedefop from the ETF on that date. Seminar participants will also discuss common EU approaches and knowledge sharing among and within EU institutions and agencies.

Visitors from the ETF will have the chance to learn more about relevant Cedefop projects. Finally, an overview of challenges in education, training and the labour market across South-eastern Europe will be provided by the European Agency for Reconstruction.
