The workshop (6-7 October) highlighted research on the emerging needs of both eco-industry and the wider labour market for the skills that will help Europe make use of renewable energy sources and achieve sustainable development.

The international conference, (hosted by Cedefop on 23-24 October), was organised by the European Commissions Representation in Greece and the European Parliament, with the participation of Commissioner for Consumer Affairs Meglena Kuneva, MEPs and representatives of the social partners.
