Leonardo da Vinci II - Call for applications for study visits on vocational training in sports and leisure sector

This is to inform you about a call for applications for participation in study visits on vocational training in sports and leisure sector.

Cedefop is a European Union agency dealing with the development of vocational training. One of our activities is to coordinate, on behalf of the European Commission, the Community study visits programme for people in charge of vocational training.

Herewith, we are inviting representatives of employers and trade unions, policy makers, experts, teachers and trainers, HR managers, researchers, local and regional authorities, and national public authorities to participate in one of the study visits on vocational training in sports and leisure sector that will take place in the second semester of 2006:

  • Group 39 - Training in the sports and leisure sector, Germany, 16-19 October 2006 (working language: English)
  • Group 50 - Le sport au service de lducation et de lanimation, France 16-20 October 2006 (working language: French)

By taking part in study visits, participants get a picture of the current theory and practice in the field and have the opportunity to exchange experiences and views with participants from various countries across Europe.

Cedefop provides a grant to participants as a financial contribution to their travel and accommodation expenses. If representatives of your organisation in charge of vocational training are interested to contribute to and benefit from this kind of professional exchange, they are kindly invited to fill out the enclosed application form and return it to Cedefop by September 12, 2006.

The form can be sent by e-mail to " target=_self>  or by fax to: +30 2310 490 044.

Please find enclosed: the descriptions of the two study visits; application forms in EN and FR

Please note that people who have participated in the Community Study Visits Programme since October 2004 are not eligible for these study visits. We look forward to co-operating with you and would be happy to provide any further information you might need.

Yours faithfully,
Cedefop Study Visits team
