This international conference, organised by the European Commissions Representation in Greece and the European Parliament, will examine implications of climate change for education and society - principally, energy, migration, and the new jobs and skills required by the move towards a greener economy.
Commissioner Stavros Dimas (Environment) and Meglena Kuneva (Consumer Affairs) will take part in the conference, along with members of the Greek government and policy-makers from across the European Union. The third session, on climate change and green skills, will be devoted to the results of a recent Cedefop workshop on the future skill needs for the green economy.
