This seminar used research findings and insights developed by the five EU Agencies under the responsibility of DG Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion (Cedefop, Eurofound, EU-OSHA, ETF and ELA) to engage in a discussion on employment, skills and social policies that work for young people.
In the European Year of Youth, five EU Agencies, Cedefop, Eurofound, ELA, OSHA and ETF came together to organise a seminar sponsored by the European Parliament's Chair of the Committee on Employment and Social Affairs, Mr Dragos Pîslaru with a view to share their research findings and explore the challenges facing young people in times of uncertainty. The five Agency directors together with MEPs and other experts discussed youth policies, opportunities and challenges, in terms of employment, working conditions, wellbeing and mental health and the impact of COVID-19 on young people. The event took place in the European Parliament in Brussels and - due to limited capacity - was by invitation only.
