Call for ideas - European Year of Intercultural Dialogue 2008

In October 2005, the Commission proposed that 2008 be declared the European Year of Intercultural Dialogue. With a budget of EURO 10 million, the European Year of Intercultural Dialogue will present a wide variety of enriching concrete projects that will be implemented in the framework of EU programs and other Community actions. Culture, education, youth, sport and citizenship are the main implementation fields.

The European Commission is launching now a "Call for ideas" for promoting intercultural dialogue in Europe.

The closing date for submitting contributions is 13 October 2006.
