The International Symposium on the Educational Documentation Project (SIDOC) is an initiative of REDINED (Educational Information Database Network) www.redined.mec.es, with the active collaboration and participation of Spanish institutions devoted to education, cooperation and relations with Latin America.
Information, knowledge, education and training are closely and indisputably related to economic and social development. Access to educational knowledge in any of its forms enhances quality and innovation in educational strategies, methodologies, activities and resources and strengthens the capacity for educational research.
Databases are very useful tools for accessing information effectively and therefore, REDINED, through the SIDOC, tries to create a forum for exchanges and cooperation among educational documentalists, as well as promote cooperation between existing initiatives and experiences in this field.
Cedefop's documentalist, Maite Santos, will be representing Cedefop.
