How about going abroad during training? Bilateral exchange programmes of the BMBF support apprentices in crossing borders and acquiring international qualifications. Future-oriented vocational training increasingly requires the integration of European and international aspects.

The BMBF is therefore supporting cross-border cooperation in education and training, promotes the transparency of degrees and qualifications and fosters mobility in vocational education and training. Apprentices can acquire international qualifications by staying in companies abroad for a period of at least three weeks as part of their training. Skilled staff can enhance their qualifications.

The BMBF is supporting bilateral exchanges in initial and continuing vocational training with the different Member States
