Thematic country reviews on apprenticeships in Lithuania and Malta

Validation workshops are intended to achieve agreement on the main approaches, findings and possible solutions identified during Cedefop’s review of the Maltese and Lithuanian apprenticeship systems. The aim of the review is to improve, or indeed set up, national apprenticeship systems, in close cooperation with stakeholders in the Member States concerned. Cedefop’s review method may later be used with other countries.

In this first validation workshop, which will involve steering groups from Malta and Lithuania:

• Cedefop will present the analytical framework it has developed for the purpose of the review;
• participants will map the situation in their countries;
• agree on priority areas for the review;
• discuss preparations for the first round of stakeholder interviews.
