Temporary agency work in an enlarged European Union
Temporary work agencies in the former EU15 countries employ the full-time equivalent of 1.3% of total employment, according to new research from the European Foundation for the Improvement of Living and Working Conditions, the Dublin-based EU agency.
The report, which offers a snapshot of temporary agency work in 25 EU Member States, as well as Norway and the acceding countries Bulgaria and Romania, paints a picture of a small but important sector with a significant growth potential.
