Free Movement of Workers in the EU

On Thursday 9th March the Czech Permanent Representation is organising an international seminar on the Free Movement of Workers in the European Union in cooperation with the European Citizen Action Service(ECAS).

The objective of the seminar at the Czech Permanent Representation to the EU is to evaluate the experience with the two-year transition period after the accession of the Czech Republic to the EU on the 1st May 2004 and to contribute to the ongoing discussion about the reasons in favour and against the opening of labour markets in the 12 remaining EU Member States which still apply restrictions. The event will be held in the context of the European Year of Workers Mobility 2006.
