Skills-OVATE: Skills Online Vacancy Analysis Tool for Europe

Skills-OVATE allows you to display information at national land aggregate level. The system contains UK data and analysis based on research conducted before the United Kingdom’s exit from the European Union on 31 January 2020. The default aggregate refers to the EU Member States (EU27_2020). While it is possible to display aggregates including the UK (EU27_2020+UK) to reflect the situation in the European Union before 31 January 2020, these should not be considered as representative of the situation in the EU thereafter.

The online job advertisements were gathered between 1 July 2018 and 30 September 2020. Data presented are based on a robust methodology using big data and machine learning techniques. The underlying online job advertisement data are already of high quality, but they need more work to clean and classify them. More analysis and testing are also necessary for Skills-OVATE to provide sound evidence to inform policy making. Please use the findings as indicative. Skills-OVATE’s aims at this stage to show the data’s potential and provide information to help interpret labour market developments.
