Over a two-year period, of the Foundation for Integration and Migration ‘Our People’ (MISA) gathered proposals from all VET colleges on how to improve the complementary Estonian language teaching for students whose mother tongue is not Estonian.
During the first week of November, the Foundation for Integration and Migration “Our People” (MISA) celebrated the successful conclusion of the work exchange programme.
The “Noor Meister (Young Master) 2010” skills competition in 10 specialties took place on 2 and 3 December 2010 as part of the Information Seminar “Teeviit” (Road Sign).
In the 2010/2011 school year, a VET teacher adjustment year pilot program, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Research, universities and VET institutions, will be carried out. The adjustment year program is a tool to bring new VET teachers effectively into schools and will offer a sound pedagogical training.
In accordance with the Development Plan for the Estonian Vocational Education and Training System 2009-2013, the national accreditation system is being developed and implemented. The principles, criteria and regulation of accreditation are worked out and after a pilot round, the new system will be implemented in all VET curricula groups.
