If you don't update your skills, you may become less able to cope with rising job demands; if you don't practice your existing skills in your current job, you may find it impossible to update them. These related phenomena of skills obsolescence and skills mismatch can become a serious problem for employers and employees alike. Cedefop is to conduct a survey to measure mismatch and obsolescence in several Member States as a first step toward dealing with the problem. The first expert meeting is held on 13 June in Brussels.
