International Conference on The Changes and Transformations in The Socio-Economic and Political Structure of Turkey Within The EU Negotiatons

The Dumlupinar University Centre for European Studies and the Centre for Turkish Studies intend to constitute a broad arena in order to share the recent developments within the EU-Turkey relations and the Europes changing political landscape on the implications for Turkeys prospects of eventual EU membership and starting of negotiation talks in October, 3 2005 as well as the significant domestic challenges Turkey faces as several critical issues remain unresolved.

At the same time, Kytahya, as the host place of the Conference meetings, will be elaborated with its historical, social, economic and cultural richness and its transformation shaped by the influence of the negotiation process especially with its crystallized facilities such as its boron mineral stratums, the sector of the art of tile and ceramics-making, thermal energy and social and economic structure within three days international symposium.
