In spring 2005, after a successful implementation of the partnership agreements on European level youth worker / youth leader training, youth research and Euro-Mediterranean co-operation both partners agreed, to strengthen cooperation and to merge the existing partnerships to one single umbrella covenant.

The new youth covenant that overarches the three subjects now covers the period 1 May 2005 31 December 2006. In the future it is envisaged to continue the Partnership with connect with the European Commission new YOUTH IN ACTION programme 2007-2013.

All activities are grouped around the topics European citizenship & human rights education, intercultural dialogue & co-operation, quality in youth work & training, recognition & visibility of youth work, better understanding & knowledge of youth, youth policy development, promoting understanding of and respect for cultural diversity. Main activities are trainings, seminars and network meetings involving youth workers, youth leaders, trainers, researchers, policy-makers, experts and practitioners on topics mentioned above and leading to a structured dialogue. Steps have been taken to disseminate the results of the Partnership through the transfer of training modules, websites and research publications, e.g. a series of thematic T(raining)-Kits and the Coyote Magazine, a joint magazine published twice a year.
