Opinion of the EESC on a multiannual programme for enterprise and entrepreneurship

Opinion of the European Economic and Social Committee on the Proposal for a Decision of the European Parliament and of the Council amending Council Decision 2000/819/EC on a multiannual programme for enterprise and entrepreneurship, and in particular for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) (2001-2005) (COM(2004) 781 final 2004/0272 (COD))

On 11 January 2005, the Council decided to consult the European Economic and Social Committee, under Article 95 of the Treaty establishing the European Community, on the abovementioned proposal. The Section for the Single Market, Production and Consumption, which was responsible for preparing the Committee's work on the subject, adopted its opinion on 14 February 2005. The rapporteur was Mr Pezzini. At its 415th plenary session, held on 9 and 10 March 2005 (meeting of 9 March), the European Economic and Social Committee adopted the following opinion unanimously.
