Gabriele STÖGER, freelance researcher and cultural mediator in Vienna, is at present investigating the relevance of Creativity and Innovation in European VET-systems together with Walter Stach, commissioned by the Austrian Federal Ministry for Education, Arts and Culture and coordinator of the GRUNDTVIG-project “weReurope” for the lead agency ibw (Institute For Research On Qualifications And Training Of The Austrian Economy, Vienna).

Gabriele Stöger worked as a lecturer at different Austrian Universities as well as for postgraduate Curatorial studies for communication in museums and as project manager for Büro für Kulturvermittlung and KulturKontakt Austria in national and transnational projects. Her focus being on cultural mediation and lifelong learning she coordinated Socrates projects like “Museums, Keyworkers and Lifelong Learning“; “Artemis”) and was awarded with the „Ludwig Sackmauer prize for arts mediation“ 1995 as part of the group T.E.A.m,. She worked as project coordinator for “The useful and the Strange”, 1990-1997, which was the start of a series of cultural projects with people in initial vocational training in Austria.
