Juan MENÉNDEZ-VALDÉS is Chairman of CEDEFOP’s Governing Board

He holds a MSc. Psychology degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology and European Communities.

He is the Head of Education & Training, Employment and Migration policies in CEOE (Spanish Employers’ Confederation).

He represents BUSINESSEUROPE and/or CEOE in a number of International and National groups and bodies, such as the ACVT (Advisory Committee for Vocational Training), the Education and training group of the European Social Dialogue and, at national level, in the most relevant Spanish bodies (consultative and governing boards) in the areas of Education, Vocational Training, Employment and Immigration.

He has participated in negotiations within the European Social Dialogue and ILO and, at national level, in the most relevant negotiations on education and training, employment and migration policies, since 2000.

Previous jobs: Human Resources Consultant, and Official of the National Institute for Employment of Spain and in the Regional Government of Madrid.

He has numerous conference contributions, articles in magazines, chapters in academic books and other publications.
