Shawn Mendes is Director of Education in the Unit for Adult Education at the Swedish National Agency for Education (Skolverket). Prior to this he worked for government agencies and Ministries in both Sweden and Canada, including four years as head of the VET policy with the government of British Columbia. He holds degrees in political science and political economy from Simon Fraser University, Carleton University and Stockholm University. Shawn is Sweden’s Cedefop ReferNet coordinator, the country’s representative to the European Network for Quality Assurance in VET (ENQA-VET), a member of the ENQA-VET board and Chair of the thematic group: “Making VET More Attractive.”
