Maria Hrabinska (SK) came to Cedefop in 2008 from the European Commission (DG Education and Culture) where she worked for four years monitoring and analysing progress towards the Lisbon objectives within the “Education & Training 2010" work programme.

A specialist in comparative research on educational policy
developments, she has cooperated with international
organisations such as the OECD, UNESCO and the Council of Europe, and is the author of about a hundred papers on the subject of how education and training is and can be developed to respond to global challenges and serve European policy goals.

At Cedefop, she coordinates activities focused on policy analysis and reporting on developments in vocational education and training in Europe (Copenhagen process).
