Attwell Graham
Director Pontydysgu
Graham Attwell is Director of the independent Wales based research organisation, Pontydysgu and is an Associate Fellow of the Institute for Employment Research, University of Warwick and a Gastwisessenchaftlichter at the Institut Technik und Bildung, University of Bremen.
His work includes research and development into pedagogies for Technology Enhanced Learning, the recognition of informal learning, the training of teachers and trainers and the development of open source software for education and Open Educational Resources.
Recent work has focused on the research and development of new applications and approaches to e-Portfolios and Personal Learning Environments and the use of social software for learning and knowledge development. He is experienced in the use of ICT for e-Learning, and in developing, delivering and moderating e-learning programmes for teachers and trainers in initial training and for professional development.
Pontydysgu coordinated the European Commission Lifelong Learning programme sponsored TTplus project which developed a Framework for the Continuing Professional Development of Teachers and Trainers. They are also partners in a European Commission sponsored project which is organising consultation workshops on policy and practice for the training of vocational teachers and trainers in Europe.
Pontydysgu are partners in the IST programme sponsored Mature-IP project which is examining knowledge maturing processes and piloting Personal Learning and Management Environments and Organisational Learning and Management Environments.
