Still time to register your interest in the high-level conference (7-8 December, Thessaloniki), in which Cedefop will present its new European skills and jobs survey and discuss results from its research agenda on skill mismatch.

During the conference, the following themes will be discussed:

  • the impact of automation and new technologies on skills and jobs;
  • how active public policies and social partnerships can facilitate transitions from school to work and unemployment back to work;
  • the importance of fostering social partnerships to reduce skill shortages; and
  • the role of HRM and organisational policies in shaping and utilising employees’ skills.

Throughout the event, experts in skills and skill mismatch, along with high level representatives of European institutions, international organisations, governments, social partners, education and training providers, public employment services and other institutions will engage in panel discussions on the above issues.

Keynotes will be delivered by distinguished Harvard University Professor Richard Freeman and World Bank Lead Education Economist Harry Patrinos.
