The Council Resolution on the renewed framework for European cooperation in the youth field (2010-2018), also known as "EU Youth Strategy", requires an EU Youth Report to be drawn up at the end of each three-year cycle, with a dual objective: namely to evaluate the progress, and to serve as a basis for establishing a set of priorities for the coming work cycle. The draft Joint EU Youth Report is accompanied by two Commission Staff Working Documents: one which reviews the situation of young people in the EU and one which analyses actions taken under the renewed framework.
