The Making Skills Work Index (MSWI) is a composite indicator, developed by Cedefop, aiming to provide a tool for assessing Member States’ skills formation and matching systems.

The main purpose of the workshop is to bring together a number of methodological and policy experts to discuss the Making Skills Work Index regarding both its methodological underpinning and its policy relevance and applications.

The workshop will provide a platform to:

  • present the current status of the Making Skills Work Index;
  • set the ground for updating and making the Index an annual benchmark;
  • provide experts with ‘hands-on’ sessions to investigate the Index and provide feedback, and
  • elaborate on the promotion and utilisation of the Index at both EU and MS level.

The aim is to involve experts closely in the process of updating and promoting the Index, drawing on their knowledge and expertise.

The Making Skills Work Index is announced on Cedefop’s Skills Panorama website.
