The Analytical highlights is a series of short papers published on the EU Skills Panorama website.

These papers aim to provide a concise analysis in no more than two or three pages on specific topics and are ideal for policy-makers and professionals. Their target is to improve the accessibility to the Panorama’s data and intelligence on skill needs, occupations and countries.

Currently, the analytical highlights are accessible through a dedicated section of the EU Skills Panorama webpage available here, and are categorized in three different thematic areas:

  • the first covering issues relevant to “skills and learning” in general, including topics such as adult learning, apprenticeships, foreign languages, etc,
  • the second category includes the sectoral highlights, where short overviews of selected sectors across Europe are provided with information on demand, supply and mismatch trends of skills and occupations.
  • the third category includes the analytical highlights for specific occupations. Currently, a series of more than 25 occupational highlights covering all the important occupational groups of the economy is being developed.

In the near future, country specific highlights will also be produced covering all the EU countries. More information on the Analytical highlights can be found here.
