Cedefop Acting Executive Director Mara Brugia told participants in Thessaloniki’s Maritime Economic Forum conference, hosted by the agency on 5 April, that it is not enough for vocational education and training (VET) to adapt to change; education and training can also help shape the future of a region’s or a country’s economy and social fabric.
Since 2017, and on their request, Cedefop has been working intensively with national authorities and stakeholders in Greece, Estonia, Bulgaria and Slovakia, to support them in strengthening their skills anticipation and matching capacities.
This December, once again, Cedefop travelled with the EU jobs and mobility roadshow, an itinerant marketplace and information initiative, aiming to reach out to the education and training community of its host country, Greece.
Learners, teachers, parents and policy-makers present their views and experiences in Cedefop's video on European vocational education and training's (VET's) future challenges.
Cedefop organised the second policy learning forum on apprenticeships, a European vocational skills week event, on 18 and 19 October in Thessaloniki.
