Learn more about the European national vocational education and training (VET) systems

VET in Europe - reports 2015-2018 are a product of the VET in Europe project and review vocational education and training systems in Member States, Iceland and Norway. They are prepared by ReferNet, according to a common structure provided by Cedefop. Built on the ReferNet country report structure, Cedefop publishes twice per year the Short description of vocational education and training for the countries holding the Presidency in the EU.

Why VET in Europe - reports are of value

Understanding national VET systems, their characteristics, developments and priorities is a key element in different levels of the VET coordination and development process. It may also bring additional ideas and examples of good practice.

Downloading the country reports is highly recommended for policy-makers, researchers and practitioners involved in VET activities, including conferences, seminars or projects.

In 2019, Cedefop launched its online database, the main source of information about VET systems in Europe.
