Occupational profiles for three new qualifications have been developed: trading in medical devices for home use and assistive technologies; food supplements; and providing professional guidance to the unemployed.

The new qualifications ‘Trading with medical devices and assistive technologies’ and ‘Trading with food supplements’ demand a wide range of knowledge, skills and competences related to interacting with customers, trading goods, trade documentation, information and communication technologies. Cooperation with other departments and teams, such as accounting and marketing, is also essential. Specialists in the first of these two interact with disabled customers and need to have excellent interpersonal skills, problem-solving skills, and the ability to prevent conflict situations arising.

The holder of a ‘Supported employment’ qualification provides guidance and support to the unemployed with permanent disabilities and from other disadvantaged groups, paying particular attention to their individual attitudes and motivation.

Occupational profiles for these qualifications have been developed in the framework of international projects in which the National Agency for Vocational Education and Training participates along with employers and representatives of business.
