Cedefop/ European Parliament joint seminar: Highly skilled workforce needed both for recovery and for long-term growth
On 2 March Cedefop in cooperation with Member of the European Parliament Ole Christensen held a seminar at the European Parliament in Brussels on how the development of skills can contribute to overcoming the present economic crisis.

The seminar, Skills and competence to overcome the crisis, took place at the European Parliament. Speakers included Ole Christensen, MEP; Laszló Andor, Commissioner for Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion; Odile Quintin, Director-General for Education, Culture, Multilingualism and Youth; ETUC Secretary Jozef Niemiec; Business Europe representative Jorgen Ronnest, and Cedefop Director Aviana Bulgarelli.
