Conference on "Policy Transfer in Vocational Skills Development Revisited"
The role of the dual system and of national qualification frameworks in international development cooperation
The Institute of Education of the University of Zurich in cooperation with the Centre of Development and Cooperation of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (NADEL) and the Network for Policy Research, Review and Advice on Education and Training (NORRAG) is organising an international conference to review the role of vocational skills development (VSD) in international development cooperation. In particular, the conference will focus on the transfer of globalised VSD models, such as the dual system and national qualification frameworks.
The main programme of the conference will consist of plenary sessions that bring together a wide range of experts from academia, government agencies, multilateral organisations as well as from NGOs. Selected conference participants interested in presenting their work to the audience will have opportunities to contribute to a poster session throughout the conference.
The conference is open to all those who are interested in nurturing exchange between research and practice in the field of VSD in development cooperation. There will be a number of travel grants available for PhD students from non-OECD countries.
